Privacy Policy

UNI PDF ("the app") is published by Unity Technology. This Privacy Policy explains what information UNI PDF handles, why it is handled, and the choices available to you. It applies to the UNI PDF Android app (package app.unipdfreader).

Your Documents Stay on Your Device

Every PDF operation runs on your device, including opening, reading, merging, splitting, compressing, converting, annotating, and signing. Your PDF files, their contents, annotations, notes, bookmarks, and signatures are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.

UNI PDF does not have accounts or sign-in. We do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number.

Information Collected by Third-Party Services

UNI PDF uses certain Google services that may automatically collect limited information. These services do not receive your PDF documents.

Google AdMob may collect advertising ID, device and app information, approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad interaction data. This information is used to show and measure advertisements and to help prevent fraud.

Firebase Analytics may collect usage events, such as which tool was used and whether an operation completed, along with an app-instance identifier. This information is used to understand and improve the app.

Firebase Crashlytics may collect crash reports and diagnostic information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, and stack traces. This information is used to identify and fix bugs.

Google Play Billing processes the purchase status of the optional one-time unlock. We do not receive your payment details.

Ad consent: In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before any advertisement is requested. You can change your choice at any time through Settings → Privacy choices.

Advertising ID: You can reset or delete your advertising ID through your device's Google settings.

Data Stored on Your Device

Your preferences, document list, reading positions, notes, highlights, and bookmarks are stored only on your device. We cannot see or access them.

You can remove this information at any time by:

• Using Settings → Clear library index in the app. Your PDF files are not deleted.
• Clearing the app's data through your device settings.
• Uninstalling the app.

Notifications

UNI PDF may send notifications about updates and features. You can turn notifications off through Settings → Notifications in the app or through your device settings. No personal information is required to receive notifications.

Permissions

• Files Access – PDF files are opened only when you choose them through the system file picker, which gives the app access to the selected file.
• Notification Permission – Used for optional notifications about updates and features.
• Internet Access – Used only for advertisements, analytics, crash reporting, and purchases.

UNI PDF does not request access to your photos, media, location, contacts, camera, or microphone.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with the third-party service providers listed in this policy only for the purposes described above. We may also disclose information when required by applicable law.

Retention and Deletion

Analytics data is retained by Firebase for up to 14 months. Crash reports are retained for up to 90 days.

To request deletion of data linked to your app installation, you may contact us at info@unitytechnology.in. Because UNI PDF does not use accounts, uninstalling the app also stops all further collection from that installation.

Children's Privacy

UNI PDF is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Security

Information sent to the third-party services described in this policy is encrypted in transit. Your PDF documents never leave your device, so they are not exposed while being transmitted to our services.

While we take reasonable measures to protect information, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes to This Policy

When this Privacy Policy changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes may also be noted in the app's release notes.
